The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Browning, MT, empowers a new generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Our program provides comprehensive training and mentorship, enabling Fellows to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Throughout their six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm, participants engage in organic food system education and hands-on initiatives, such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. This Fellowship promotes accessibility by charging no tuition, creating opportunities for dedicated individuals to expand their knowledge and skills. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their expertise in collaboration with regional non-profits, thereby fostering healthier communities and enhancing access to nutritious foods. Applications are open until March each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
