About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Charlo, MT, we empower passionate individuals to transform our food systems into models of social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training, our Fellows engage in hands-on experiences that promote organic food education and community impact. They work directly on a market-style farm, lead innovative health care educational sessions, maintain school and community gardens, and enhance food literacy in educational settings. Our program emphasizes accessibility; thus, we do not charge tuition. The fellowship's unique structure includes six months of immersive training at our campus, followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows collaborate with regional non-profits to address food access and support local efforts like farmers markets and community food coalitions. Applications are open until March, with the fellowship experience spanning from May to October, paving the way for a more equitable food future.
