Located in Conrad, MT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers an immersive six-month experience at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows gain practical skills through organic food system education. With no tuition fees, the Fellowship promotes accessibility and empowers participants to work alongside community partners, fostering initiatives like diversified crop farming, health education, and garden maintenance in schools. Additionally, Fellows learn to integrate food and ecological literacy into educational activities, support farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy foods through collaborative projects. After their time on the farm, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge to support regional non-profit organizations and strengthen local food systems. Applications are due in March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October each year.
