The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Dillon, MT, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a just and sustainable food system. By sponsoring and training Fellows through hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, we empower individuals to become educators and advocates for social, environmental, and economic equity in food production and distribution. Our fellowship program offers extensive organic food system education, allowing participants to engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diversified crops, running educational health initiatives, and maintaining community gardens. Additionally, we support the integration of food and ecological literacy into educational settings and the development of stronger food access channels through local farmers markets. This six-month, immersive experience culminates in a Community Action Year, where Fellows can apply their training alongside regional non-profits. We welcome applications by March each year, with the fellowship experience typically running from May to October, ensuring accessibility and fostering community connection.
