The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Forsyth, MT is dedicated to promoting a just food system through training and empowerment. We sponsor select Fellows who embark on a transformative six-month experiential journey at our residential Farm and Food Study program. Here, they receive vital education in organic food systems while gaining hands-on experience that prepares them to teach and advocate for sustainable practices. Our program emphasizes accessibility by not charging tuition, ensuring a diverse range of participants. Post-training, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year where they collaborate with local non-profits to implement initiatives like growing and distributing diversified crops, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. By mentoring future cohorts and supporting local food coalitions and farmers markets, our Fellows play a crucial role in increasing access to healthy food options in their communities, aligning with our mission to foster social, environmental, and economic justice.
