About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Gallatin Gateway, MT, empowers aspiring leaders to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive organic food system education, selected Fellows engage in a transformative six-month, hands-on residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profit organizations. This impactful program promotes access to education by charging no tuition, enabling participants to cultivate diverse crops, develop community gardens, and enhance food and ecological literacy in schools. Fellows also gain practical experience by supporting farmers markets and creating innovative distribution channels to increase access to healthy foods. Committed to fostering a just food system, the Fellowship prepares the next generation of advocates and educators, encouraging applications by March for the upcoming May through October session.
