About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Harlowton, MT, is dedicated to empowering individuals as teachers and advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a no-tuition model, we ensure accessibility to our comprehensive organic food system education. Our Fellows engage in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm, collaborating with local partners to cultivate diversified crops on market-style farms, implement innovative health education sessions, and enhance community gardens. They also promote food and ecological literacy in schools, support farmers markets, and develop distribution channels to ensure greater access to healthy foods within the community. Following their training, Fellows undertake a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to apply their newly acquired skills. We invite passionate individuals to join our mission to create a more equitable food system and encourage potential applicants to submit their applications by March for the following summer cohort.
