The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Havre, MT, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through the sponsorship and training of enthusiastic Fellows. Our program focuses on empowering individuals to become advocates and educators for social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. With a commitment to accessibility, we offer comprehensive, hands-on education in organic farming without any tuition fees. Throughout the six-month experiential residency, Fellows engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing community-centered educational sessions, maintaining gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. Additionally, they support farmers markets and work to enhance access to healthy foods by collaborating with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of leaders in food systems while fostering community resilience and sustainability in Montana.
