Based in Laurel, MT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to cultivating a just food system through hands-on training and empowerment. Our Fellowship program offers aspiring advocates and educators the opportunity to explore sustainable, organic food practices without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Over six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in experiential learning, gaining insights into diversified crop production, community garden maintenance, and the integration of food and ecological literacy in educational settings. Following their training, participants embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local nonprofits to enhance access to healthy foods and support community food initiatives. We encourage applications by March each year for the fellowship running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join our mission in fostering equitable food systems.
