The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lodge Grass, MT, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a comprehensive program that emphasizes organic food system education, this fellowship empowers selected individuals to engage in hands-on learning and practical applications. Fellows participate in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will develop skills in growing diversified crops, implementing health education initiatives, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, they will play a vital role in supporting farmers markets, enhancing access to healthy foods, and mentoring future cohorts. The program is tuition-free to ensure accessibility, and partners with regional non-profits during the Community Action Year to apply learned skills. Applications are accepted until March for the program that runs from May to October.
