The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lolo, MT, empowers individuals to advocate for a just food system through hands-on training and education at the picturesque Allegheny Farm. This unique fellowship experience fosters organic food system education and strengthens community ties by enabling Fellows to grow and distribute diversified crops, lead educational sessions on health, and maintain vibrant school and community gardens. All training is tuition-free, ensuring accessibility for passionate advocates eager to support farmers markets and enhance direct-to-consumer food programs. Throughout their six-month immersive experience, selected Fellows will gain invaluable skills and insights that culminate in a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profit organizations to advance food literacy and increase access to healthy foods. Applications are accepted until March each year, with programming running from May to October.
