Located in Philipsburg, MT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating educators and advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social equity, environmental health, and economic sustainability. We empower our Fellows through a comprehensive training program that promotes accessibility and impact, offering organic food system education without tuition costs. Upon selection, participants engage in a transformative six-month residential hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn to grow and distribute a variety of crops and implement innovative community health educational sessions. Fellows also play a vital role in maintaining school and community gardens, enhancing food and ecological literacy, supporting farmers markets, and developing strengthened distribution channels to ensure access to healthy foods. After their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and continue making a meaningful impact in food security and community vitality. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
