The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Polson, MT empowers aspiring agricultural leaders through comprehensive training and hands-on experience in creating a just food system grounded in social, environmental, and economic respect. By offering a tuition-free program, we prioritize accessibility to organic food system education and innovative community engagement. Our Fellows engage in diverse activities, such as cultivating market-style farms, implementing educational initiatives in healthcare, maintaining school and community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into local curriculum. With a commitment to enhancing food access, they also support farmers markets and develop vital distribution channels for healthy foods. Over the course of six months at our immersive Farm and Food Study, followed by a Community Action Year, fellows apply their knowledge in partnership with non-profit organizations, making a meaningful impact on community food initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year for experiences running from May to October.
