The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ronan, MT, empowers passionate individuals to champion a just and equitable food system through comprehensive education and hands-on experience. This transformative program, sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, provides Fellows with a unique opportunity to engage in organic food system education and community development. Participants will learn to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement health-focused educational initiatives, and foster food and ecological literacy in local schools. With a commitment to accessibility, the Fellowship does not charge tuition, ensuring that aspiring advocates can fully immerse themselves in their training. Over a six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year, selected Fellows will apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations, cultivating healthier communities and supporting the growth of local food systems. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the fellowship running from May through October.
