The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Seeley Lake, MT, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of passionate advocates for equitable and sustainable food systems. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this transformative program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive organic food system education. Each Fellow participates in a six-month immersive training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, gaining hands-on experience in diverse agricultural practices and community engagement. The Fellowship promotes accessibility by charging no tuition, allowing individuals to focus on developing critical skills such as implementing health-related educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy among students. After their training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profit organizations to enhance food access and support community food initiatives. Applications for this unique opportunity are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
