The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Shelby, MT is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable and equitable food systems. This unique program offers comprehensive training to Fellows, empowering them to become passionate advocates and educators for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Throughout the six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in hands-on learning, focusing on topics such as organic food production, community gardening, and food and ecological literacy. In collaboration with local non-profit organizations, Fellows then transition into a year of community action, where they apply their skills and knowledge to enhance access to healthy foods and promote vital community food initiatives. By eliminating tuition costs, we strive to ensure that our Fellowship remains accessible to all dedicated individuals eager to make a positive impact on food systems in their communities. For those interested, applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship year running from May to October.
