At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Sheridan, MT, we are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program provides an immersive, hands-on education in organic food systems without any tuition fees, ensuring that all aspiring fellows can access this transformative experience. Over a span of six months, participants engage in experiential learning at our farm, focusing on diverse topics such as crop production, community gardening, and the integration of food literacy within educational settings. After their initial training, fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profit organizations to implement innovative solutions that enhance healthy food access, support farmers markets, and foster community food initiatives. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the fellowship experience typically taking place from May to October.
