Located in Stevensville, MT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. This transformative program, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, is designed to ensure accessibility, with no tuition fees for participants. Fellows engage in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they receive comprehensive education in organic food systems. Over a six-month immersive experience, they explore diverse agricultural practices, promote food and ecological literacy in schools, and support community initiatives such as farmers markets and community gardens. Following this foundational training, fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their skills and enhance food access in local communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for the seasonal program that typically runs from May to October.
