About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Troy, MT, we are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our immersive program offers intensive, hands-on training in organic food systems education, allowing selected Fellows to engage in meaningful work with local communities. During their six-month stay at our campus, participants not only gain vital skills through practical farming and gardening experience but also contribute to initiatives such as implementing innovative health care educational sessions, supporting farmers markets, and promoting food literacy in schools. This unique Fellowship is completely tuition-free to ensure broad accessibility, empowering Fellows to enact positive change throughout the region during their Community Action Year, as they partner with non-profits to enhance food access and sustainability. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
