Located in Apex, NC, Basic Needs Services at the Women's Center of Wake County is dedicated to addressing the essential survival and safety needs of women and children facing homelessness or at risk of it. As the only day shelter for women and families in Wake County, we provide a safe haven during the day, protecting individuals from the elements while offering a supportive environment. Our vital services include emergency food assistance, personal hygiene products, transportation access, clothing, direct financial aid, and crucial mail and message services. We also assist with obtaining identification cards, which are essential for accessing additional community resources. Beyond addressing immediate needs, our Basic Needs Services act as a gateway to further support, including recovery readiness programs and mental health services, as well as housing assistance, helping individuals navigate their path towards stability and empowerment.
