Located in Garner, NC, Basic Needs Services at the Women's Center of Wake County is dedicated to supporting women and children facing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. As the only day shelter in Wake County specifically for women and families, we provide a secure refuge during daytime hours, offering protection from extreme weather conditions. Our comprehensive food assistance program ensures access to nutritious meals and emergency food resources. Additionally, we facilitate transportation through bus tickets, supply personal hygiene products, clothing, and direct financial assistance, as well as offer vital services such as mail and message support, phone access, and aid in obtaining identification cards.
