MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Leland, NC, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission focuses on annually screening all Veterans engaged in VA care for obesity and providing tailored referrals to various weight management options that meet their unique needs and preferences. With an emphasis on practical support, our program offers diverse care strategies, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! system for home-based assistance. Veterans can also utilize the MOVE! Coach mobile app for self-directed weight management, as well as access weight loss medications and bariatric surgery options for those needing further intervention. Each facility may offer different services, so we encourage Veterans interested in this empowering program to connect with their local MOVE!
