Joy Elliot is a compassionate licensed marriage and family therapist who holds a Master of Arts in Marriage, Family, & Individual Counseling. She specializes in child sexual abuse, domestic violence, pregnancy & infant loss, and various forms of trauma, and is recognized as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist of Sex-trafficking & Exploitation. With over ten years of experience before becoming a therapist, Joy served as the director of New Creation Counseling & Birth Services, where she was a certified birth and bereavement doula as well as a childbirth educator. Her journey has allowed her to walk alongside hundreds of individuals and families during profoundly intimate and life-altering seasons. Joy believes that every person is imbued with value and purpose, uniquely created to cultivate meaningful relationships with others. Acknowledging that life experiences can hinder our connections and distort our self-perception, she understands how relationships can become fractured, that our minds and bodies can struggle, and that the world often feels unpredictable. Through trauma recovery, Joy creates a safe environment for clients to explore these complex issues.
