The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program, located in Rockingham, NC, is designed for individuals newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, providing a supportive and educational environment to help navigate this journey. Over the course of 12 months, participants engage in a comprehensive learning experience through six informative e-booklets, each tailored to meet their needs after diagnosis. The program also includes a monthly e-newsletter filled with seasonal tips and valuable resources in both English and Spanish, as well as information about local community events. Enrollees who provide their phone number can join the monthly Ask the Experts Q&A series, allowing them to directly ask diabetes-related questions to American Diabetes Association experts, participate via phone or online, understand the connection between diabetes and heart health, and even receive helpful giveaways. Our mission is to empower those living with diabetes to thrive by expanding their knowledge and fostering community connections.
