About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Alamo, NV empowers aspiring advocates and educators to reshape the food system through a lens of social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a practical six-month residency at Allegheny Farm, Fellows gain hands-on experience in organic food system education, where they grow diversified crops, maintain community gardens, and engage in innovative health care education. The program emphasizes the importance of food access and literacy, enabling Fellows to support farmers markets, create distribution channels for healthy foods, and contribute to community food coalition activities. With no tuition fees, we promote inclusivity in our mission to mentor future leaders in sustainable food practices. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October.
