About Women Infants & Children (WIC)
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Austin, NV, is dedicated to fostering healthy habits among low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and their young children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide vital food assistance and nutrition education through personalized assessments, counseling, and essential support services. With a focus on nutritious, supplemental foods and breastfeeding support, we also issue checks for health-related food necessities and connect families to healthcare and other vital social services. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our local WIC clinics continue to support the community through phone, mail, or in-person appointments. We invite those in need to reach out for guidance on nutrition education, benefits eligibility, and application processes.
