The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Baker, NV, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, our program offers an immersive six-month education in organic food systems, followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows can apply their skills in collaboration with local non-profit organizations. Participants engage in diverse projects such as growing and distributing crops, supporting farmers markets, and integrating food and ecological literacy into community efforts. Aiming to make this vital program accessible, we do not charge tuition, ensuring motivation and talent can flourish without financial barriers.
