About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Beatty, NV, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through this unique program, we sponsor and train passionate individuals who are committed to social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Our Fellows engage in comprehensive organic food system education where they actively learn how to grow and distribute diversified crops on a market-style farm, implement innovative health care education, and maintain vital community gardens. We believe in the power of food and ecological literacy, which is why our Fellows integrate these principles into school activities and support local farmers markets while developing channels to enhance access to healthy foods. This six-month experiential residency at our farm allows Fellows to directly apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year, ensuring their impact is felt long after their training ends. We invite like-minded individuals to join us, as our program is designed to be accessible, with no tuition fees charged. Applications are open until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
