About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Carlin, NV, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Our mission is to train and empower passionate individuals to advocate for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. We offer an immersive, tuition-free program where selected Fellows embark on a six-month journey at our campus, gaining hands-on experience in organic food system education. Throughout their Fellowship, participants cultivate diverse crops, lead community gardens, and implement innovative educational programs focused on food and ecological literacy. Additionally, they engage with local partners to enhance access to healthy foods through farmers markets and community initiatives, fostering a robust community food coalition. Following this transformative experience, the Community Action Year allows Fellows to apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profits, driving meaningful change in their communities. We invite motivated individuals to apply by March each year to join us in this vital work from May to October.
