About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Dayton, NV is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just food system. This transformative program empowers Fellows through hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, where they delve into organic food system education and engage with the community on projects that promote sustainable agriculture. With no tuition fees, we ensure that participation is accessible to all. Our Fellows collaborate with local organizations to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care education, maintain community gardens, and drive initiatives that enhance food and ecological literacy. Over the course of six months, participants gain invaluable experience in practical settings before embarking on a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills to support food access and strengthen local food networks. Our mission is to foster a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system, and we invite passionate individuals to join us in this important work.
