The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Denio, NV, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This program offers hands-on training at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows gain valuable experience in organic agriculture while learning to promote social, environmental, and economic equity in food systems. Our six-month immersive fellowship includes opportunities to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative educational sessions in health care, manage community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into school curricula. We collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to ensure that our Fellows apply their skills effectively during their Community Action Year. By prioritizing accessibility and providing tuition-free education, we empower individuals to mentor future cohorts and actively support local food initiatives, farmers markets, and community food coalitions. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
