The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Elko, NV, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for a sustainable and equitable food system. This immersive program offers selected Fellows the opportunity to engage in hands-on organic food system education and community projects, all while promoting accessibility through a tuition-free model. Over the course of six months on our beautiful farm campus, Fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education programs, maintain school and community gardens, and enhance food literacy within local schools. They also play a pivotal role in supporting farmers markets, developing distribution networks to increase access to healthy foods, and mentoring future cohorts. Upon completion of their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, working alongside regional non-profits to put their skills into practice and foster robust community food systems. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply by March for the opportunity to start their journey from May to October.
