Located in Empire, NV, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food equity. We empower our Fellows with hands-on training in organic food system education, enabling them to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers a tuition-free experience, making our fellowship accessible to all aspiring participants. Throughout their journey, selected Fellows engage in a six-month immersive residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will grow and distribute diversified crops, implement health education initiatives, support community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. They also have the opportunity to collaborate with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year, amplifying their impact in the community. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
