About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Eureka, NV, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This program provides a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in hands-on education about organic farming, community food initiatives, and ecological literacy. Participants spend six months immersed in experiential learning at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, where they collaborate on projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, organizing innovative health education sessions, and supporting local farmers markets. Our commitment to accessibility means there are no tuition fees, allowing more individuals to participate and make a meaningful impact in their communities. Following their immersive training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profits, driving positive change in food access and educational outreach. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
