About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Goldfield, NV, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Our program not only offers free tuition to ensure accessibility but also empowers Fellows through hands-on training in organic food systems. Participants engage in transformative experiences where they cultivate a diverse range of crops on a market-style farm, facilitate educational initiatives in health care, and foster community gardens. The Fellowship emphasizes the integration of food and ecological literacy into educational environments and actively supports local farmers markets and consumer programs. Over the course of six months of immersive learning at our campus, chosen Fellows are equipped with the skills necessary to aid in community food efforts, encouraging collaboration with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year, which occurs after fellow training. Applications are open until March of each year, with the program running from May to October, providing a unique opportunity to impact food and farming in a meaningful way.
