About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hiko, NV, is dedicated to cultivating a righteous and sustainable food system through education and community empowerment. Our program offers a transformative experience where selected Fellows receive training without the burden of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all passionate individuals. Over a six-month immersive journey at our campus, Fellows engage in hands-on learning about organic agriculture while fostering connections with local non-profits to promote food assistance and healthy eating initiatives. Through activities such as cultivating diverse crops, developing community gardens, and teaching food literacy, our Fellows become advocates for equity in the food system. Following their initial training, they participate in a Community Action Year, applying their skills and knowledge in various partnerships, driving impactful change in their communities. We invite aspiring change-makers to join us in reimagining our food systems, with applications open until March each year for a program that runs from May to October.
