The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Jackpot, NV, is dedicated to nurturing leaders who advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. This fellowship is grounded in the commitment to provide accessible education, as it does not charge tuition for aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in impactful experiences, including hands-on organic food system education, farming diverse crops, and implementing community-based health initiatives. Through collaboration with local organizations, Fellows will also develop food literacy programs, maintain community gardens, and boost farmers markets, all aimed at enhancing access to healthy foods. Throughout the six-month residential training at our campus, Fellows gain invaluable skills before transitioning into their Community Action Year, where they apply their expertise to elevate local food systems. Applications are accepted until March for experiences running from May to October.
