The Medical Nutrition Therapy Program, offered by Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of adults aged 60 and older in Las Vegas and Clark County by providing essential nutrition support. Our program focuses on delivering nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs governed by the Older Americans Act, ensuring that each meal contributes one-third of the daily recommended nutrition for older adults. We address specific challenges such as medical conditions requiring nutrition intervention, chewing or swallowing difficulties, and malnutrition through personalized services. Eligible clients receive access to dietetic consultations with registered dietitians, who analyze meals to ensure they comply with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Additionally, we offer modified textured meals and nutritional supplements based on availability. Our comprehensive support system is designed to cater to individuals managing diabetes, heart disease, and other health issues, empowering them to lead healthier lives.
