The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship located in Luning, NV, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to creating a food system that is just, sustainable, and accessible for all. Through our comprehensive training program, we empower Fellows to become advocates for organic agriculture and food equity. Our initiative includes hands-on education in diversified crop production on market-style farms, development of community and school gardens, and support for innovative healthcare educational sessions. Fellows engage in vital activities such as mentoring future participants, promoting food literacy, and enhancing access to healthy foods through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer models. The Fellowship comprises a transformative six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where skills are applied in collaboration with local non-profits. We believe in making this opportunity accessible by not charging any tuition, encouraging a diverse range of candidates to join us in building healthier food systems for our communities.
