About Women Infants & Children (WIC)
In Mc Dermitt, NV, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential nutrition education through personalized assessments and counseling, alongside access to nutritious supplemental foods and breastfeeding support. We aim to empower families by issuing checks for health supplemental foods and facilitating referrals to healthcare and other vital social services. During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our local WIC clinics remain accessible, offering services either via phone and mail or in-person appointments. We encourage those seeking assistance with nutrition education, benefits, EBT cards, or eligibility to reach out to their local WIC clinic.
