About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in McGill, NV, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in the realm of sustainable food systems. By sponsoring, training, and empowering passionate individuals, we equip our Fellows to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers free access to organic food system education and a hands-on, immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. During their six-month residency, Fellows engage in meaningful projects such as growing diversified crops, running community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings. Afterward, they embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to enhance food access and promote wellness through innovative healthcare and farmers markets. Applications are due by March, with hands-on experiences typically running from May to October, all aimed at fostering a more resilient food system within our communities.
