The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Minden, NV, fosters a new generation of leaders dedicated to advancing a just food system through practical training and community engagement. This unique program empowers selected Fellows with a comprehensive education in organic food systems, allowing them to cultivate and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement innovative health care education, and maintain community gardens. Through hands-on experience, Fellows learn to integrate food and ecological literacy into school curriculums, enhance access to healthy foods by developing distribution channels, and support local farmers markets. The Fellowship is committed to accessibility, offering this transformative experience tuition-free to ensure all aspiring advocates can participate. Over a six-month residential program, followed by a Community Action Year, dedicated individuals will partner with regional non-profit organizations to enact meaningful change and mentor future cohorts.
