At the Access Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) in Owyhee, NV, we are committed to empowering individuals at risk of developing type II diabetes through a comprehensive, CDC-approved curriculum. Our program focuses on crucial aspects of diabetes education and lifestyle coaching, providing group support that fosters a sense of community and shared goals. Participants learn about healthy eating, cooking nutritious meals, maintaining an active lifestyle, effective weight loss strategies, stress management techniques, and the importance of communication with healthcare providers. Through a structured approach, we meet weekly for the first 16 weeks, transitioning to bi-weekly and then monthly sessions, ensuring participants have the resources and support they need over a total of 26 sessions.
