About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pahrump, NV, empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a food system that is just and sustainable. This transformative program provides Fellows with comprehensive training in organic food systems, preparing them to lead initiatives that promote food justice and access. Participants engage in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, where they can grow and distribute diverse crops, run educational workshops, and support local food coalitions. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility, allowing our Fellows to focus on their mission to integrate food and ecological literacy within their communities, maintain gardens, and enhance farmers markets. Selected Fellows will dedicate six months to immersive, experiential training before entering a Community Action Year, where they'll apply their skills and knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Apply by March to join us in cultivating a healthier, more equitable food future for all.
