About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Paradise Valley, NV, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program is designed to provide comprehensive training in organic food systems without any tuition fees, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate and learn. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows develop essential skills by working on a market-style farm, participating in innovative educational sessions for health care, and engaging with community gardens. Our mission extends beyond training; we empower Fellows to integrate food and ecological literacy into local schools, support farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy food through various community initiatives. Following their hands-on training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and make a tangible impact. The application process will be open until March of the application year, with program activities typically running from May to October.
