About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Pioche, NV, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to a just and sustainable food system. This fellowship offers an inclusive, hands-on educational experience without tuition fees, allowing Fellows to engage deeply in organic food system practices that emphasize social, environmental, and economic justice. Throughout a transformative six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm, participants not only learn to grow and distribute diverse crops but also implement community-focused initiatives such as educational health sessions, school and community gardens, and farmers markets. Our mission extends beyond the farm through a Community Action Year where Fellows collaborate with regional non-profits to enhance food literacy and accessibility, fostering healthier communities. Applications are accepted until March for this enriching experience running from May to October.
