About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship located in Silver Springs, NV, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on training in organic agriculture, teaching them vital skills to grow and distribute diverse crops on a market-oriented farm. Through experiential learning, Fellows engage with community initiatives such as implementing educational sessions for innovative healthcare, maintaining school gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy. This journey includes a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profits. We prioritize accessibility by not charging tuition, ensuring that anyone can pursue their passion for food justice. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
