About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Tuscarora, NV, is dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for and teach a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our inclusive program, we offer a comprehensive education in organic food systems without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Selected Fellows participate in a six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain hands-on experience in diversified crop production, innovative healthcare education, and community gardening initiatives. After this immersive training, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to promote food literacy, support farmers markets, enhance distribution channels for healthy food access, and develop community food coalition activities. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
