The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Verdi, NV, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a food system that is just, sustainable, and community-focused. This unique program offers a comprehensive, no-cost education in organic food systems, empowering selected Fellows to actively engage in initiatives that address food access and promote ecological literacy. Participants will embark on a six-month immersive experience on the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will receive hands-on training in diversified crop production, innovative health care education, and community garden management. Following this transformative fellowship, Fellows will apply their skills during a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance food distribution channels and strengthen community food efforts. Applications for this impactful program are due by March, with the fellowship commencing each year from May through October.
