Located in Washoe Valley, NV, the Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This free, comprehensive program spans 12 months and is designed to empower participants through knowledge and community connection in both English and Spanish. Participants benefit from six informative e-booklets tailored to their needs post-diagnosis, alongside a monthly e-newsletter filled with seasonal tips and resources. Additionally, enrollees can engage in local community events and, by providing their phone number, join our monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A sessions. Here, they can ask diabetes-related questions to ADA experts, learn about the critical link between diabetes and heart health, and enjoy giveaways that promote a thriving lifestyle with diabetes.
